Can Reiki Heal My Allergies?
Can Reiki heal my allergies? The short answer is maybe. Reiki was a healing miracle for me with my allergies, but not how you might think.
There was a 7 year period when I had life threatening allergic reactions to normal dust, pollen and mold in the air. I had huge hives all over my body for 7 years. Sometimes things would get out of hand and the swelling would get too close to my airway and I would have to go to the ER for IV steroids and antihistamines.
I did see an allergist. It is very important to see a medical professional for a medical condition. The medications kept me alive long enough to find the reiki and for the Reiki to work.
The doctors believed that I would live the rest of my life taking several medications every day. Even with the medications, I was in constant pain and had to rush to the ER often. But the meds did help.
I tried so many therapies, medical and natural. Nothing worked until I found Reiki. The more regularly I received, the longer periods of relief I got.
Eventually, I took Reiki classes. In addition to seeing my Reiki Master/teacher weekly, I partnered up with a friend and we traded Reiki weekly as well. So I was receiving Reiki twice per week. I also did self-healing every day.
The healing wasn’t immediate. I didn’t just receive a Reiki session and throw away my medicine. It took a good six months of daily self-healing and receiving a session twice each week.
It was gradual. First it helped my mood and made it easier to cope. Then other ailments that I wasn’t so concerned about, improved. Then little by little the hives began to subside until, I no longer needed medication for them.
Reiki saved my life and my quality of life. Do I still have allergies? yes. But they’re no longer life threatening. I no longer live with constant hives. My regular trips to the ER every 6 to 8 weeks? I needed the ER for allergies only once since 2003.
Will it help you? Maybe. At best, It will relieve your symptoms. At worst, it will relieve your stress. I suggest you try a session and see if you like it. If you like it, try a few more sessions. If you feel some relief, see what sort of commitment you want to make to it.
